? Grown Man On/Off ?

I was looking on facebook profiles of friends I had'nt talked to in a long time and noticed a horrible little trend. As I read qoutes and looked at pictures, it was as if everybody was trying to be older than they really were. Every page had something on it that had something to do with "gettin ya grown-man on". I could see if these were 25 to 33 year old people in the corporate world, but I'm talking about 19-23 year olds! Why in the hell would you want to act or be older than what you are? Usually it works the other way around. I mean, older folks usually try and act younger than they really are because they ENJOYED being young and free:) But young people dressing and acting like they are 30 year-old stiff ass fucks? I'm confused. Have these people not seen the MTV ads stating that "Maturity is Over-Rated". I am in no way saying not to handle responsiblities, we all will forever be obligated to take care of certain things. But this shit has to stop! Why is everybody in a hurry to look like this guy to the right? Kanye was right "U niggas wear suites cause you can't dress no mo". I am in no hurry to be a senior citizen. I will wear what I want untill the government tells me otherwise:)jk But seriously, if I see a 15 year-old with a comb-over.....I'm whoopin' ass!

How Klever are U?

This is actually a very old post but..........hey. We have been on this Dj for a minute. Actually about 9 months to be exact. This ATL bred Dj is the king of re-mixes to us right now. He remixed Damaged Good$ nemesis Gucci Maines' "My Chain" and it quickly became our favorite. And we really despise Gucci! He then put his spin on LLoyds "Get It Shawty", and its a dance classic! Now that I think of it, artists today really don't do remixes now-a-days. At least any worth listening to. Klever is definately an innovator. His "Trafik Tradeshow" mixtape is something you need in your life right now! If your not in Special Ed. then you should probably check him out. >>>>>>Dj Klever<<<<<<
~He will be in Dallas on June 26th so you might want to be there!
Swabs

Something that mafe me say "hmmmmmm"

So I was checkin' "The Film Dons" blog out the other day and discovered something very interesting. He had done something with his hard earned money that most people....I take that back.....that most stupid people don't even think about. He invested some of his money! Today everyone is caught up in having everything from the newest Razor or iphone to the nicest clothes. I'm guilty as well for going overboard with the amount of shoes I buy. I have shoes that I have not even worn yet that are like two years old. And I will be honest, I probably will never stop buying shoes at this rate but I can say that I will try and do something smarter with the rest of the currency I posses. I get paid this Friday and I need a gold rope:) I promise the next check will be stashed........I'm human:)

Jones Addiction

A few months ago I would not have considered myself a lowely "Soda Drinker". In fact, I gave up drinking sodas when I was 12. But I fell off of the wagon a few months ago due to something called Jones Soda. I had been fighting it for the longest, mainly because when I first saw it I thought it was too damn expensive. But one day as I was walking through the Wal-Mart Aisles Of Temptation, I spotted a new shipment of Jones Soda at the end of the aisle. Out of curiosity I went to see what kinds of flavors they had. I saw Fufu Berry and Cream Soda. It began to call my name and I quickly gave in:) I bought two cases. Since that day I have been hooked! I have almost tasted every single flavor and Im always looking for new ones. I don't think I want to stop my addiction to this Jones Soda crap just yet. It tastes sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood!

Peace, Soda Savant

Another Bio?

So Nirvana has another Bio out by British rock journalist Everett True. I am sure my homie Dave is happy about that. Critics say that this is the most complete of all the biographical stuff thats out right now. It has 600 pages of interviews with the band with Cobains ex-girlfriends before Courtney Hate came into the picture. It even has the author bragging about his many drunken nights he had with the band. I guess he was trying to be cool:) But this just isnt some guy doing research on the band over the internet and then deciding to write about it. The author is a close friend of the band who is finally deciding to cash-in on his relationship with the band. Who knows if the world needs another damb Nirvana bio. If your really interested in the book then you can hit up Amazon or something.

Kanye West, "Can't Tell Me Nothing" (Full Version)

Laaaaaa Laaa Laa La.....Kanye is back at our ear-drums again with his single from the upcoming "Graduation" album. This was leaked about two weeks ago as a snippet. As soon as I heard it I told everyone about the 30 seconds of greatness I had heard. The concept of the song is so real. No jewelry talk or none of that. He is keeping it real while spittin' about his actions and the effect that the money has or has not had on him. It almost sounds like a beat from the "dirty dirty". The bass is beating hard and the Jeezy samples are cool. >Look and Listen!<

Honda FCX

This nice looking Honda is a much needed model to the "Car Game". The FCX is probably the best electric car ever. And do'nt worry about how to get one because they do'nt come out untill next year. In an age where nobody cares about nature or the damn planet, this will put a dent in all of that pollution blowing these days. The car has one bad quality about it though. The fact that you cant hear the engine may cause a few problems. Padestrians getting ran over because they can't hear the car coming, could become an everyday occurance. It only goes 100mph, so all the speed-demons will shy away from this product. The interior has a pretty sexy design as well. If you want to know the "ins and outs" of the car you can go here $.

New Nike Dunkesto

So Nike just dropped the new "Dunkesto" shoes. I think these are a mesh of the Nike "Presto" shoe that came out a minute ago, and the notorious "Dunks" These shoes were done to honor the best soccer player in the world........Ronhaldino! He just signed a huge deal to stay with his soccer club FC Barcelona. They would'nt be able to operate without him anyway, so it was smart of them to offer him the world. The shoes are dope and I have a pair on the way:) You can get them at the Goods store. But yoiu are going to have to call or e-mail them because their on-line store is down. Dont trip.

You Know'em From The Rap

DMG'z are a bit A.D.D when it comes to music today. So that keeps us looking for new shit to ride to. I was on The Fader one day and they had a small write up on a gentleman named Wale(Wah-lay) from DC. They also pasted his myspace jukebox on the page and I was instantly hooked! It's like when you have been waiting at the bus-stop for the longest, and then your late ass bus shows up. Wale is truly a rap relief. The buzz started with his first mixtape "Paint A Picture", which we can't get enough of here. Then he followed with his second mixtape "Hate Is The New Love", which we played out about a month or two ago. His singles "Dig Dug" and "Breakdown" are the most requested songs in DC history! His sound can be described as Hip-Hop mixed with a tad of Go-Go. If you don't know what Go-Go is, just think back to Spike Lee's "School Days" and that song "Doin The Butt". His Studio 43 team is headed by Kenny Burns who once worked at Roc-a-fella with Dame and them. Wale is on the straight and narrow road to the top and is currently on tour with Mark Ronsosn in the U.K. Remember the name...Wale....cause you about to know him from the rap!

The Sidekicks Sidekick

America is probably the only place on earth where drunk driving is overlooked, eventhough we are constantly beat over the head with commercials and info telling us how bad drinking and driving is. We are just a nation of hard-headed people, and I know because......I'm hard-headed. Some people just don't believe they're drunk when you tell them "Fam, you just pissed all over your dunks....you're drunk"". They dont believe they're drunk because.........They're too drunk! So here is a tool for the "friend of the insanely drunk person who thinks he/she can drive". This little thing is a AlcoHawk Digital Alcohol Detector. The firends sidekick should keep this with them while they are out on the town. And right at the point where the drunk ass idiot does'nt believe how much alcohol they have consumed, whip this baby out. It only takes five seconds and has a display screen on the side and only costs about $44. So it will not take long for you to potentially save a few lives, including your own.

Releaved and Ready

We are finally done with our final exams as every college slacker should be around the country. The last 2 months have kept us out of touch from anything except 10 page papers and Jones Soda:) Now we have all the time to catch up this summer because I will be on the net for about 5 unhealthy hours a day. And Im getting paid for it. As far as the music goes we should have some good music up in the next week. This summer is going to be big!!!!! But getting back into posting some shit.....May 8th was good day for Hip-Hop. Not because we did away with Snap Music(Im jokin), but because Sage Francis' new album "Human Death Dance" hit the stores. I have only had the pleasure of listening to one new song and it was dope! The interuldes are recordings of him rhyming when he was younger. And thats all I can tell you about that. I would say go buy it but the rest of the album that I havent heard could suck a pool ball through a straw. So at least hit up his myspace and peep it yourself and then get back to us---------> $ <---------Stay Tuned cause we are about to matter in a lil bit!

Willie The Kid (Man-beast)

I've been sittin on this jewel for a minute. Willie the Kid is the shit! Never before have I heard anyone who can be a gangster rapper, blend both hardcore lyrics with a mass amount of creativity, and artistry. And being in an era where most MC's dont know who Bambata is, this kid is on his p's and q's. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, he is a son of a Dj who credits KRS-1 and Rakim as his inspiration. He now lives in Atlanta and is down with Dj Drama's "Aphiliates" crew. Willie was in college in Atlanta when a friend of his, which is Dj Drama's brother, played his music for Drama. The rest is history. He is on all of Drama's mixtapes and continues to put his music out independently. With his brother La The Darkman and Drama by his side, he is poised to leave his mark on hip-hop. Check him out on myspace by clicking here*

If It Aint Broke Dont Fix It!

"What has the internet done for you lately", or should I say "What have you done on the internet lately"? Since the insertion of the internet into my life, I can say that my life has become somewhat easier. I can shop, make music, and take classes on the internet. But as I have come to learn in this life, when you have too much of a good thing their is always someone lurking in the shadows ready to screw it up. This is the case for indie-labels in the form of "the attack on net neutrality". Since the beginning of the internet, all sites have downloaded at the same rate depending on content and other simple things. Now some internet providers want to begin charging to have certain websites load faster than others. For the indie folks this could spell trouble. So some musicians have formed The Rock the Net campaign in order to make sure that "net neutrality" is'nt done away with. If it is, some smaller labels and musicians who cannot afford or don't want to pay to have their pages load faster could be lost in the madness. On the other side of the battlefield are coporations such as AT&T, Verizon Communications, and Comcast. You know that they are salivating at the chance to be able to charge content providers for priority web traffic. Well known artist such as R.E.M and Sarah McLachlan have joined the fight against the darkside.

J Dilla - Nothing Like This

This is an example of genius. The video is dope as hell, and this is one of my favorite joints on Ruff Draft. That damn drum is killing it! Experience It!

Dilla With The Gangsta Sh*t!

Sure. Everyone is on Mr. Yancey's nuts these days. Its sad, but thats usually how todays society works. Your fame multiplys ten times when your dead.......Just ask Pac and Biggie. It seems like Dilla has come out with a boat load of material since his death. And It's all pretty classic music too. The latest is titled "Ruff Draft". Many people don't know that this is actually a re-release by Stones Throw with a few extra joints on it. It was released in 03 by German label GrooveAttack. This record comes with a second disc with the instrumentals of the first disc. I got it yesterday and has truly been a journey for the ears. Different soundscapes that are very refreshing. It also comes with a cassette tape. That blew my mind! They really took it back with this one. I think they only have a limited amount so you better scoop'em fast. And when you get time check out the 3 part Dilla interviews on youtube with: Dj House Shoes, Common, Dwele, and many more.

A Note From: The Guy Who Writes Alot Of This Stuff

So ummmmm when I first started this blog I was just worried that nobody would even look at the damn thing. Now that speed bump has been flattened, a new one has risen. In the form of COMMENTS! It's really retarted actually. At the start of this whole thing people began leaving little comments here and there. It was very interesting, some people commented and I knew them, some I had no clue you even existed. But once the steady flow of comments came, I became...........yes it's true........addicted(Gasp). I just had to have the feedback even if it was just saying "This Shit Blows". I now have a serious fever, and the only way to fix it is..........more comments! Just give me my daily dosage. I know people visit this damn blog on a daily basis. And don't ask how I know. If you can be so kind to drop a line when you visit....I would appreciate it. You can even give me advice on how to make this blog reach its full potential. I don't care, just......................................................comment :-)

K'Nex

Everything that's "unique" is'nt acceptable!
I saw this on one of my favorite sites of all time, and I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed in the review that they gave this piece of garbage. First you have to think of "When will I actually wear a high-hill like this?" I know designers are trying to push the envelope, be creative, and bypass the level of mediocrity that runs rampid in the game but........this is just my little cousins lego collection glued to a high-hill frame. In no way is this stylish! I am not even going to say where this is from because I don't want any consumer throwing away their hard earned(strippers:) money. Hypebeast said this was "cutting-edge"? This comes from a site that influences huge amounts of people whom rely on the beast to feed them their opinions. And I love the site, and am in no way bashing the beast! But please reconsider your views on this piece of K'nex. I mean, you do influence alot of people. And I don't want to have to walk down the street and chop someones feet off because they are wearing these damn things! Then again, do as you want. Who are we to judge?

J. Staple Interview

With his hands in just about everything, Jeff Ng aka jeffstaple has masterfully created an entire world of communicating through design. The founder of Staple Design, Staple Clothing, and the Reed Space is a graphic and clothing designer, artist, DJ, writer and entrepreneur. He and his team are responsible for design work with companies such as Nike, Burton Snowboards, Louis Vuitton/Moet Hennessy, Timberland, Uniqlo, Sony Playstation, Puma and more.Jeff took his one man t-shirt business and quickly evolved it into a full clothing collection. In addition to the design firm, he opened up Reed Space in 2002. Since its birth in 1997, Staple Design's work is found internationally on all forms of media imaginable.
-Honeyee.com

So yeah, Inquiring Minds did an interview with Jeff Staple, one of the most stylish hustlers we have seen in a minute. It's a typical interview but his perspective on things is as real as it can get. Staple also points the flashlight on the effect of the internet on street culture, his favorite clothing lines, and his artist selection for the gallery. The interview is also in video format for you people who did'nt attend the "Derek Zoolander School for Kids Who Can't Read Good". To check the interview out just click the Inquiring Minds link to the right. It's that easy.....and be sure to watch "I'm from Rolling Stone" 2morrow:)

F*ck Free Lunch

I guess this country does'nt believe in good deeds anymore. I read this article on USATODAY that jusrt made me mad. "What were you doing on USATODAY" you ask? I peep the money section a few times a week. They have some very priceless info on saving and managing money. But back to the story. I see this article that said that a Subway owner lets his employees have a free $5 meal everyday if they want as a kind of token of appreciation. Awwww aint that sweet.........wrong! The governments greedy hand taxed his but to high heaven for every free meal he has given for the last 3 years! If thats not f*cked up, then I dont know what is. The owner could'nt believe it. He said "I throw away bread every day that we don't use, and I don't pay tax on that....But if I give it to my employees, I have to pay a use tax on that. It just doesn't make sense." He must pay $2,500 in back taxes, interest and penalties. Poor guy:( He just wanted to do something that most buisinesses today don't do, and thats look out for the workers. So stupid the government is!

Definitive Swim

I have had this album for a few days now and I have to say its not something you should give away for free. After a sucessful collab with StonesThrow Records in "Chrome Children", the sick people at cartoon crazy-house Adult Swim are teaming up with indie hip-hop kings Def Jux. The title of the album as you can see is Definitive Swim. All of the information that you want to know is on the damn flyer to the left. So I'll just give you my opinion. It showcases a few Queens MCs in Cool Calm Pete and Despot. You probably know Pete from his former group Babbletron but....who cares. Despot has a sick single out titled "Homesickness", and was once a member of the Lo-Lifes crew. He also has an album coming out on Def Jux as well, so look out for it. My fav joint on the record is Cages "Blood Boy". this is a great collabo because both of these entities are huge trendsetters in what they do. Who knows, maybe the Adult Swim brand will turn into a recorld label. To download this musical mayhem press the graphic on the left. Follow the yellow brick road!

"Im From Rolling Stone"

In a day and age when reality television is'nt really "real", there is one show that pisses on the heads of all the other reality shows. This show is........................ "Im From Rolling Stone"! It's ironically produced by, crap factory, MTV, which is home to b.s shows such as Bams Unholy Union and My Sweet 16. The show is about six young and interesting writers who get a shot to write for the infamous(Sorry Mobb Deep but this show is hotter then you are now) Rolling Stone Magazine. The contestants come from all over with a variety of hang-ups and personalities. In my opinion, the show is basically about the two "left coast" reps Krish and Russell. Both have huge egos and loads of talent. One of them will not take their head out of their ass and write, and the other is too busy spooning interns to realize they have the competition on lock. The rest of the people really are'nt worth mentioning at all except, Tika. She's a lesbian. Thats it. The show comes on Sundays @ 10 my time, so check it out!

Caveman Come-Up

Well I be a cavemans uncle! The Geico cave-homies have been on their "take advantage of my 15minutes of fame" grind. According to ABC, they have ordered for the cave-dudes to produce a pilot for a new show justly titled "Caveman". The concept of the show is displaying the cavemens struggle as they go through life as 30-somethings in a present day ATL. The cave-thugs are famous for starring in Geico commercials pushing that using the Geico Insurances website is "so easy even a caveman could do it". But the cavemen are'nt your average Neandro-dummies, being that they dress like Miami playboys and are super articulate. This show is gonna be a hit! We said it here first so you can take it to the bank! A pilot order does'nt necessarily mean that the show will come to life. It just means that they are seriously thinking about it. But if they are as smart as the cavemen then they will know that this is going to be a hit.

Just Deserts

I just got news that Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five will be inducted into this years Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Flash and the Furious Five are hip-hop icons if you dont know! They are responsible for hits like "White Lines" and the platinum selling "The Message". They will be the first hip-hop group to be inducted. this is truly a big step for the hip-hop culture. After being rejected for entry the past two years, I guess the "Big Wigs" are becoming more open-minded, or they were smoking some Grade-A during the selection process. But at the end of the day its just another dope accolade for hip-hop royalty. Some other inductees worth mentioning are R.E.M and the Ronnettes. Sesame streets "Bert and Ernie" flipped the melody to a Ronnettes song titled "Be My Baby" and changed it into a song about Berts blanket:) Its funny as hell to this day!

Excalibur

Well I could'nt go to sleep last night because I consumed a large amount of Kool-Aid with about 3 pounds of sugar in it. I even tried to count sheep! It does'nt work. So I just looked at the ceiling and thought about random stuff untill my "revelation" came. I always wondered why guitar players make this orgasmic-like facial expression sometimes when they play. Maybe the drummer farted or they can't stand the smell of their own breath, I don't know. But that face is something different. The guitar is a different type of instrument when you think about it. I know when I hear certain notes, it just makes me feel strange(In a good way). Its like your the guitar and your emotions are the strings. And when played right, you begin to really "feel" the song! I know I seem really Steve Urkel "pocket-protectorish" lame right now but thats the only way I can put it. When I listen to music, especially music with real instruments, I dont just listen to it I have to feel it. Its the same with Electronic or some Hip-Hop music but with a different feeling to it. Each type of music is different, but sometimes you can feel Jimmy Hendrix the same way you can a Kanye West, Little Brother, M.I.A, or a SpankRock. I told a friend that its like the guitar is an Excalibur, and the person playing is just cutting through your soul repeatedly with every note. But Im just babbling on and being strange as hell right about now. Im scaring myself. Stay tuned.

The Sounds

Brief is better. So here is a list of the songs that have been in rotation in my LIFE for the last few weeks. And I have to say that I have an addiction. An addiction to new music! Its become like fast food, once you eat it, you want more a few hours later. But I know Im not the only one like this! Or maybe I am. But if not, then enjoy my list of dealers....my bad......musicians:)

Cage "Blood Boy"
This song is dope. Thats it! Def Jux!

Casual "Here am I"
Dude is basically explaining how he met the Hieroglyphics crew. Its funny and the production fits the subject matter. And Casuals flow is always on point so.......U know...Good Music:)

The Cool Kids
"Mikey Rocks"
These Chi-town MC's Inglish/Mikey Rocks, are like a modern EPMD. They got the Tony Hawk syndrome, but thats ok, that may really be what they do. But they"re music is bumpin! The song is basically Mikey "tootin his own horn" over the beat. But he's tootin the hell out of it! I wouldnt be surprised if you saw them on TV really soon.

Cornelia "U Got It"
Cornelia is a sexy songstress from Sweden. Her sound is different and its kind of like an Electronic/Soul sound. And you have to love a chik whose chorus says "You make me cum"!

VCR "Mega God Blast"
They have actually been in my rotation for a few years now. Their music is always energetic and powerful, in a Sesame Street meets Super Mario on about 4 mushrooms kind of way. Everything aabout them screams "punk"! But they do have a little electronica influence in there somewhere.

I hope you look these artists up cause.......well I really dont care. But I thought they were worth my time and yours as well. Stay tuned for...................The Sounds:2

The Makings of Monsters

I literally lucked up and stumbled upon this gem, and busted my ass. And Im glad I did too:) C-Rayz Walz is a dope MC. I've followed his career since his first Def Jux album was put out awhile back. Now I have his whole musical catalogue! And this next album is bananaz! Its actually not just C-Rayz album though. He has teamed up with Babygrandes' secret weapon, Sharkey. This guy is a damn genius. Trust me on this one. He really mixed all musical styles with this collab album justly titled "Monster Maker". Ive heard two songs and Im hooked already. I really cant wait to see them live! I saw some footy of them performing on the tube and it was official! You know C-Rayz is good for giving his all once he hits the stage. OOOOOH, they even got a joint with Matisyahu! Im interested in hearing that since Im not too big on Matisyahu in the first dang place. I have to say that this is like Gnarles Barkleys little brother coming into his own and shoving his size 13's in his ass for shaving his eyebrows off. Want to learn how to "Make Monsters"

Suck MY Stick, Bitch

So I picked up a random issue of WIRED magazine today. It was actually pretty interesting. It was giving everyone the low-down on stuff we think about all the time but still dont know the answers to. Like one was about the age old question, "How many licks does it take to get to the center?" I used to see that dumb commercial with the owl all the time when I was a kid. As I began to read, it said that Purdue and the Univ. of Michigan actually did an experiment to find out. They both built a "licking machine" and the score was: Purdue-364 licks, U of M-411 licks. This made me think. Arent these two well respected institutions of "Higher Learning"? Arent they supposed to be building Mech Warriors or finding out what Gak is made of? Instead they're screwing around the lab with some damb Tootsie Rolls! Im confused. Whats wrong with this country? But then again the "Terminator" runs the westcoast:) They did get around to saying a human tongue gets the job done better at a very efficient 252 licks. Humans do it Better!!!!!!!!!

To celebrate 25 years of the "Air Force 1" shoes existence, some cool people by the names of Kanye West, Nas, KRS-1, and Rakim came together on one song! And not to mention production done by some guy named Rick Rubin:) To add a huge cherry on top, the remix to the Rick Rubin joint is done by non-other than Dj Premier! Ricks joint is titled "Better Than I've Ever Been" and Premier's is simply "Classic". Everythings available on i-tunes today so go ahead and check it. Corrine Bailey Rae - Like A Star

..........I like this song too:) Thanx VH1 at 2 A.M

Fa Real Though, Tink About It......

Hi........yeah its another one..........dont hate......Im just joshin' mang! I hope everybody is having a Happy "Sex Day". That is the whole point of all this hoopla:) But this post isnt about chocolate covered strawberries, eventhough that sounds tasty. I was flippin' through the channels the other day and came across CNN. They were talking about something that had to do with the government. Political crap isnt really my forte. I know Democrats and Republicans.....thats about it. But I did manage to catch the whole "Barak vs. Hillary Clinton" Soap Opera. Now I usually dont give a damn about this kind of b.s, but just by the "looks" of things this is gonna be something really "grand"(Grand......I like that word....you do too, dont ya?). So I asked the folks at one of my favorite shoe spots, a childhood friend, a brother from another, a guy that keeps film in his refrigerator, and a brazilian bombshell what they thought about the "Barak vs. Hillary" fight..........Round 1!

"The Dope Spot"

Though I am independent I care about what goes on in politics to a degree. I really like Barak Obama and think that is is a really interesting tme in politics, historically and transitionally. It is pretty monumental to see what might possibly be the most interesting campaign in political history as we have a Female running for office and a strong HIGHLY potential Black (African American) running for president. John Edwards...if he takes the presidency, which I doubt, would raise serious questions on our political prowess as a nation. As far as ligitimacy and capability for the presidency I believe Barak Obama, personally, has the most potential to strike up serious change in the US. I think this will raise serious controversay because people are still backwards and have a fear of a Black president simply because it is unknown. I think that tyhe people also have a fear of a female presidnet because it has never been seen before. And honestly I think Hilary is just as capable as a president. I feel that there is a something to b said about a female leader that has not been exposed yet out side of the Queen of England which is really all ruled under a ecclesiastical heirarchy of more less dictators through chains of command...not much different than a presidency really but less church and more State.

It should be an interesting next 4-10 years in the US. "THE U.S. IS A SLOWLY SINKING SHIP!"

"I think Hillary is going to take the win. But I like Barak as better candidate;hes careful in each of his speeches and never says "I" and always speaks of "We". He thinks before he speaks. And I think that the U.S is so divided, that we need a president to start bringing us closer and blur some of the lines. But Im afraid the democratic party will divide and give an immediate win to the republicans again".

Bettie

"Barack is the future, plain and simple, he's got the vision and it looks like he really wants something better for this country. I've seen that look in my mother's eyes too, that "American Dream" glow people get when they wax poetic about how things could be better. I'm voting for him, not even just because of his tan, but because I can relate....it's a FOB thing!"

Super Dave

"Is there anyone else running?, crap. Its wild, its like a horror story to many people b/c what scares most Americans (white man) than this. You have this black cat running and a crazy white women running for president. There could be history in the making, but for the supporters out there i wouldnt get my hopes up b/c its still a long ways away. So, I really don't think much about it right now."

Aaron "The Film Don"

"Hmm...I haven't been keeping up to date with the whole Presedential news lately. Please forgive me for not being as informed as I should be. Blame it on the damn "transfering thought into its physical form" (school) system for taking up all of my time. Should I not be making lame excuses such as that? Honestly I'm not really in tune with the political game."

-So(Exhales:) there you have it. Straight from the minds of four young trendsetters. This is going to be good. You have a black guy running for president, which is cool. Black folks are happy and Im sure they're saying to themselves as I did "At least it aint Al Sharpton or Don King". And its cool to have a female representin'. I hope this world is ready..........

Peace, Where are the side items?!:)

Fall Out Boy - This Aint a Scene, It's an Arms Race Video

My Sister is Lucky I Luv Her

Sooooo partay folks! Whats poppin and sizzlin'? Im all about lending a helping hand, foot, lips, penis(jk).........you get the idea:) So when I found out about this line I had to tell somebody! As you can see its called Fattie Boom Bottie. The talented creator Cuba, who looks like my older cousin, also screws around with Bettie with the Honey Pot blog. I met her at a album release party through Bettie. The line has a myspace profile as well. I thought it was a porn stars page, so when she added me as a friend I let the request sit for the longest freakin' time. I apologize for the misunderstanding:) I have to say that I like the first set of shirts that I've seen. When I saw them I immediately thought of my little sister. I especially like the "Knock Knock" shirt with the huge gold door-knockers. My sister is definately gettin' one of these as soon as they hit the streets. They will debut in about a month or so. SO PLEASE DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS! And if you dont take my useless opinion, look 4 yaself----->$

Riottt Squad

I came up with this goodie while I was "Boredom Surfing". That means that I ditched my research paper efforts on Baroque poetry and started surfing the old "www" instead. While I was on hypebeast(I think), I saw this article about "Riott Festival". I cant tell you when it started but I know it ends at the end of March. This site turned out to be an "Indie-Heads" paradise! Its basically an indie-myspace. It also has dope interviews from artist like Defari, Sa-Ra, Saul Williams, Peanut Butter Wolf and alot more of your favs. They cover the whole board, from art, to music, to film, and photography. I already signed up for my account and you should also...........Its FREE:)

Make Those Color Lines BOLD!

So by now you have seen and observed this reverse minsterl show called "The Next White Rapper". Im just gonna shoot it to you straight. Im not going to set this post up with some clever ass introduction, Im just gonna jump on it. I recently just got my cable turned back on:) So I was focused on catching up on some much needed VH1, Discovery Channel, and TLC. I was on the phone with my mother and she was buggin out! I asked what was she so upset about, and then she introduced me to "The Next White Rapper Show". At this point she was describing to me a situation where one of the female contestants kept saying "Nigga" like she owned the word! I dont give a damn where your from, that shit is not acceptable. White people look like clowns and posers when they try and use that word. So a few days go by and I get a chance to catch the show. To my surprise a few of the contestants were good. But the question that popped into my head was "Why do they have to be WHITE rappers?" "Why cant they just be RAPPERS?" At a time in history where we shouldnt put so much emphasis on someones race, this garbage pops up. Then you have some idiot on the show speaking about a "Ghetto Revival" when he calls himself the "King of da Burbs"? This goes to show you what alot of people really think the Hip-Hop culture is.............a damn circus, with alot of bad clowns! Hip-Hop doesnt get any respect these days. But how can it when you got trash like this on TV and everybody thinks its dope!
Look in the mirror folks!

Pimp Juice

When I saw this I immediately thought of Adina Howard. You know, the freaky R&B singer that was so fine, and so HIV positive! I thought "Cool, she started her own juice company". But thats not the background info on the "Adina" juice company. This juice pushin' machine was started by a Senegalese woman by the name of Magatte Wade-Marchand. She was shocked to find out that the modern beverage of choice, soda, had made the traditional Senegalese juices irrelavent. Feeling a bit angry, on her return to her home in California she thought of something that kept her cultures traditions alive. So she pushed "Adina" out of her womb and what you see to the left is the living, breathing, drooling baby. These juices just dont taste good, they are healthy as well. They use all natural ingredients. And for all you "weight watchers" out there, there are only 70 calories. And with names like Cali-Kiss, you cant go wrong! Check It 4 Yaself$$

Trendy Ass Ninjas

Well Im focused again! I have been really bizzy the last few weeks. Settling back in the place and hanging up new stuff. It was good to go home for a bit, but something ticked me off a little bit. I went to a gathering somewhere with Dave. We met some pretty cool people:) And then all I saw were these damn hoodies. 10-Deep hoodies to be exact! Now dont get me wrong, before you label me as a "A+ Hater" I must say that I love the 10-Deep brand. I just didnt like the fact that everybody had them sons-a-bitches on! And they acted as if they had a damn crown on their head or some shit! I thought this was about being unique and having your own style. Not dishing out dirty looks cause Im not wearing the same shit you got on! Thats foul to me. Very Dennis Rodman-like. Who would want to be like everyone else? I think people are just bandwagon bitches these days! They get a new hoodie and think they're up on some new shit. O HAVE MERCY CLYDE, THAT SHIT WAS LIKE A SEEN FROM EERIE INDIANA! I bet those dudes spend like 60% of their paychecks every week tryin to keep up with the "latest". But for those of you who know what this shit is about, good lookin' mang and mangettes. Im back so the post will keep coming:)

Peace, Stay Tuned
